WHY AYSO?

IS AYSO RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?

The American Youth Soccer Organization, in existence since 1964 develops and delivers a quality environment in which to learn and play the game of soccer. AYSO is a volunteer organization with more than 250,000 involved, many helping as coaches, referees or administrators. AYSO can be a total family experience!

The six basic philosophies of AYSO:
* Everyone Plays: which mandates that each child play 50% of every game.
* Balanced Teams: we computer generate teams to be sure all teams are as evenly balanced as possible. Its more fun if teams are of equal ability.
* Positive Coaching: We train and encourage our coaches to teach your child in a positive manner rather than by negative criticism.
* Open Registration: Our teams are from age 4 ˝-19, interest and enthusiasm for the game are the only requirements.
* Good Sportsmanship: we create a positive environment based on mutual respect. Our programs are designed to instill good sportsmanship rather than a “win at all cost” attitude. We want our children to learn life skills to carry on and off the field.
* Player Development: We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
